42nd Annual Fairport Canal Days Begins Tomorrow!

WOW!  I am very excited to be participating in this year’s Fairport Canal Days Arts Festival.  Tomorrow evening kicks off the Festival with a “parade of food” and the group Allegro will perform from 6-9 pm.  Saturday evening there will be a beer and wine garden and B42K and Tryst will provide musical entertainment from 9-11 pm.

Saturday, we artistans will set up and be open from 10 am until 6 pm and on Sunday we will be open from 10 am until 5 pm.  I do hope those of you in the surrounding areas will be able to join us.

I will be posting photos on our Facebook page (Morning Mist Farms Soaps & Sundries), and if you are interested in other festivals and craft shows that we will be participating in, please check the right side of our home page for listings.  Please note, I have listed the dates in the format of day, month, year rather than month, day year–military style, which is an idiocyncrasy of mine!

Our newest line of haute savon (fashionably elegant soaps) will be on display and for sale.  Our tent will look a bit like a Boulangerie (bakery), but with pâtisseries au savon (soap pastries) in the form of cakes, cupcakes, and tarts all fashioned in soap!   What could be better?  They smell absolutely delicious, but without the calories, AND they last oh, so much longer than the edible variety!

One last note on soap pastries–if you or someone you know/love is getting married, we have been receiving requests for soap cakes for bridal showers.  Such a wonderful idea, not only for bridal showers, but also wedding favors, birthday parties, and baby showers as well!  Please keep us in mind.

A note on our general use soaps.  We have begun to retire some of our general use soaps and will continue to do so over the next year or so, but if you see that your favorite is no longer available, please do not fret, I am pleased as punch to make a special order of a loaf (cut or uncut) just for you.  You need only ask for details.

That’s all for now, have a tart to “put in the oven.”  Not really, because it will be made entirely of soap!

As always, I wish to gratefully thank all my lovely customers for their patronage.

Blessings,

Lorraine
