Reflections on Thanksgiving

As I look out my studio window on this crisp and damp Thanksgiving morning, I am reminded of our thanksgiving tradition of naming something we are thankful to our great and mighty Creator God for, and I would like to share some of the things I am thankful for.

I am thankful for the breath in my lungs, the beating of my heart each and every second, every minute, every hour, every day for the past (dare I admit it!) sixty years. While we are on longevity, I am thankful for a loving, generous, Godly husband who made a promise to love, honour, and cherish me, and he has kept that promise for over 35 years. He loves me as God loves His church, and while I don’t deserve it, I am so blessed that he does!

I am thankful for our home, to be able to restore this lovely old pile (as they say in merry old England), our beloved pets, food on the table, clothes, warmth in the cold, a precious church family, you, our wonderful soap customers, and I could go on and on and on. Most of all though, I am thankful for my beloved Redeemer, my Saviour Jesus Christ who loves me so much, He died for my sins–thank you blessed LORD!

I hope this may start a tradition of thankfulness in your own home and may you all have a very Happy Thanksgiving!

Blessings,

Lorraine
